Role Summary

We’re looking for a R&D Engineer to own end-to-end product/part design—from concept and 3D modeling to drawings, prototyping, validation, and release to manufacturing. You’ll collaborate with production, quality, supply chain, and customers to deliver cost-effective, manufacturable designs on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Create 3D models and fully-defined 2D drawings (dimensions, GD&T, tolerances, surface finish, notes).
• Perform tolerance stack-ups; ensure fit, form, function, and manufacturability (DFM/DFA).
• Select materials/finishes; define specs for sheet metal, machining, casting, welding, parts.
• Build and maintain BOMs, part numbers,

• Support prototype build, supplier discussions, and manufacturing line bring-up; resolve build issues via RCCA/CAPA.
• Generate technical documentation: assembly instructions, test plans (DVP&R), and release packages.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• B.E./ B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
• 2+ years hands-on experience in mechanical design/product development in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in at least one major CAD tool: SolidWorks/CATIA/NX/Creo/Inventor; working knowledge of AutoCAD for layouts.
• Practical understanding of manufacturing processes (sheet metal, machining, casting, welding, .
• Strong problem-solving, ownership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

• Supplier/Vendor interaction for manufacturability and cost negotiations.
