Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Raw Material - Purchase Executive located in Mumbai. The role involves managing purchase orders and requisitions, handling procurement activities, and maintaining efficient purchase management processes. Effective communication and liaison with suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely acquisition of raw materials will be essential for day-to-day tasks. The Purchase Executive will be responsible for ensuring that all inventory levels are suitably stocked, and procurement guidelines are followed. Key Responsibilities Source, evaluate, and onboard suppliers for cosmetic-grade raw materials and chemicals. Ensure all procurement activities comply with REACH, FDA, BIS, and other relevant regulatory standards. Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery timelines with domestic and international vendors. Issue and manage purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery aligned with production schedules. Coordinate with Production, R&D, QA/QC, and Warehouse teams for accurate procurement planning. Maintain optimal inventory levels to balance material availability with cost efficiency. Evaluate and monitor supplier performance based on quality, cost, and delivery reliability. Track market trends and monitor fluctuations in raw material prices. Ensure complete documentation for each purchase, including COA, MSDS, and import/export papers. Maintain accurate procurement records and generate periodic reports for internal use. Key Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Cosmetic Science, or a related discipline. 3–5 years of experience in raw material procurement, preferably in the cosmetic or chemical industry. Strong understanding of raw materials specific to Beauty Care, Cosmetics, and Haircare. Proficiency in interpreting chemical specifications, MSDS, safety standards, and regulatory documentation. Excellent communication, negotiation, and vendor management capabilities. Preferred Skills Experience working with both domestic and international suppliers. Awareness of sustainable and clean beauty raw materials. Ability to read and interpret technical documents and lab test reports. Show more Show less
