About The Opportunity

A healthcare provider in the Diagnostic Imaging & Clinical Services sector seeking an on-site Consultant Radiologist to join its busy hospital/radiology centre in Jalandhar, Punjab. The role focuses on high-quality diagnostic reporting, image-guided procedures, and close collaboration with clinical teams to deliver timely, accurate imaging services for inpatient and outpatient care.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Interpret radiology studies (CT, MRI, ultrasound, X‑ray, mammography) and deliver accurate, timely diagnostic reports for clinical teams.
  • Perform and supervise ultrasound- and image-guided procedures; support interventional cases as required.
  • Operate and maintain PACS/RIS workflows—ensure structured reporting, image archiving, and DICOM compliance.
  • Provide on-call and emergency radiology coverage; triage acute imaging and communicate critical findings promptly to treating physicians.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (ER, surgery, oncology, pediatrics) to guide imaging protocols and optimise patient care.
  • Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards and participate in QA, peer review, and departmental audits.

Qualifications

MD/DNB/DMRD in Radiology (or equivalent) and valid medical credentials to practice in India. Certification or demonstrated knowledge of radiation safety (AERB guidelines) is highly desirable. Clinical experience in hospital radiology reporting and procedural competence is preferred.
