Role Summary

We are hiring a junior quantitative analyst developer to support systematic crypto strategy research. You will translate high-level research objectives into factors, filters, weighting logic, and regime signals; run high-volume backtests; and document conclusions with a strong focus on correctness and reproducibility. Over time, you will develop toward independent strategy research and assistance in deployment.

Key Responsibilities

• Convert research hypotheses into testable factor ideas, filters, weights, and regime logic.
• Run large numbers of backtests using internal tools and Python to evaluate ideas efficiently.
• Perform data sourcing and preparation across crypto datasets (OHLCV, funding, open interest, liquidations, options where applicable).
• Write one-off research scripts in Python (Pandas/NumPy), SQL, and Excel for rapid analysis.
• Execute backtests, including basic sanity checks for data alignment, timestamps, missing values, and lookahead risk.
• Create clear visualizations and summary dashboards/outputs (charts, tables, Excel summaries).
• Compute and interpret performance metrics:
• Static metrics (Sharpe, Sortino, CAGR, max drawdown, etc.)
• Rolling metrics and regime-/volatility-conditional behaviour
• Maintain high-quality documentation of:
• hypotheses, assumptions, backtest configurations
• what worked / what failed / why
• improvement ideas and next experiments
• Participate in regular research reviews and iterate quickly based on feedback.
• Gradually assist in converting validated research into deployable logic and light monitoring.
  

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 years of working experience.
• Strong Python fundamentals with hands-on comfort in Pandas/NumPy.
• Basic SQL for data extraction and aggregation.
• Solid grasp of statistics/probability basics.
• Ability to communicate results clearly in written and visual formats.
• Demonstrated curiosity and ability to learn quickly.
  

Nice-to-Have

• Exposure to crypto market structure, derivatives, funding, OI, or options basics.
• Experience with backtesting frameworks or research projects.
• Familiarity with Git and basic software hygiene.
