Role Overview
We are seeking a QMS Engineer to play a pivotal role in implementing, monitoring, and enhancing the Quality Management System across all departments. This role will ensure compliance with IATF 16949 standards, lead internal audits, manage corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and maintain audit-ready documentation.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with QMS implementation in automotive or sheet metal environments, strong knowledge of audits, documentation control, root cause analysis, and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
1. QMS Implementation & Compliance
• Implement and sustain QMS processes as per IATF 16949:2016 / ISO 9001 requirements.
• Ensure compliance with quality procedures across production, engineering, and support functions.
• Coordinate with departments to maintain standardization and close system gaps.
2. Documentation Management
• Prepare and maintain quality manuals, SOPs, work instructions, PFMEA, and control plans.
• Ensure all documents are controlled, updated, and audit-ready at all times.
• Maintain proper records for traceability, compliance, and customer requirement fulfillment.
3. Audit Execution & Readiness
• Conduct internal process/product audits as per IATF audit schedules.
• Coordinate with customers and certification bodies for external audits.
• Track audit findings, drive timely CAPA, and ensure successful closure.
4. Customer Complaint Handling & CAPA
• Investigate complaints using structured tools (5 Why, Fishbone).
• Implement effective Corrective & Preventive Actions to avoid issue recurrence.
• Maintain communication with internal teams and customers on complaint status.
5. Training & Awareness Programs
• Conduct QMS training for shop-floor and cross-functional teams.
• Promote quality awareness, document discipline, and process compliance.
6. Process Improvement & Risk Management
• Identify gaps in processes and recommend improvements for better quality performance.
• Support PFMEA, risk analysis, and control plan updates with relevant teams.
• Assist in reducing rejection, rework, and nonconformity trends through systematic actions.
Desired Candidate Profile
Education: Diploma or Degree in Mechanical / Production Engineering from a recognized institution
Experience: 7–10 years in Quality Management Systems in automotive or sheet metal manufacturing
