Job Description

Core Responsibilities:

To ensure parts meet strict quality/safety standards by using precision tools (callipers, micrometres) to measure against blueprints, visually checking for defects, documenting findings, and collaborating with production to fix issues, ensuring ISO/AS9100 compliance and traceability for every component from raw material to finished product. This role is critical to maintaining zero-defect standards required for airworthiness.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform in-process and final inspections using calibrated tools, checking dimensions, torque, seals, and overall workmanship
  • Monitor production lines and conduct first-off/last-off, patrol, and visual inspections to catch defects early.
  • Use precision instruments such as micrometres, callipers, height gauges, and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to verify dimensional tolerances.
  • Ensure all processes adhere to AS9100D, ISO 9001, and other regulatory standards.
  • Identify and document deviations, initiate Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), and participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
  • Maintain detailed inspection reports, test records, and material traceability to ensure accountability throughout the component's lifecycle.
  • Ensure all gauges and measuring tools are calibrated and serviceable before use.
  • Perform and record FAIs in accordance with AS9100 standards.

Technical Proficiency:

  • Strong ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Deep knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Familiarity with Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) such as dye penetrant or ultrasonic inspection.
  • Digital Skills: Experience with any one of the ERP systems (Optional), document management software.

Soft Skills

  • Attention to Detail: Essential for spotting minute defects that could compromise flight safety.
  • Ethical Judgment: The authority to halt production if continuous non-conforming parts are detected.
  • Collaborative Communication: Working with engineering and production teams to resolve quality help calls and drive yield improvement

Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Automobile, Industrial Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.

Experience:

  • Minimum 3+ years (Preferably from aerospace part manufacturing industries).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
