TIG Welder

Key Responsibilities: Welding: Performing TIG welding processes on various metals like steel, aluminum, stainless steel, aerospace tubular, sheet metal and casting components. Blueprint Interpretation: Reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols to determine welding requirements. Material Preparation: Preparing materials for welding, including cutting, cleaning, and setting up joints. Equipment Setup: Setting up and maintaining welding equipment, including torches, gas tanks, and regulators. Quality Control: Inspecting completed welds to ensure adherence to specifications and standards. Safety Compliance: Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures, including using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Workspace Maintenance: Maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Collaboration: Working with senior welders and other team members. · Troubleshooting: Troubleshooting equipment malfunctions. Skills and Qualifications: Proficiency in TIG and ARC Welding: Experience in TIG, MIG, and stick welding techniques. Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints. Safety Knowledge: Understanding of welding safety practices and procedures. Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail to ensure precise welding. Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and hold welding torches. Good Eyesight: Good eyesight for precise welding. Technical Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and maintain welding equipment. Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with other team members. Optional Requirement: TIG Welders certify to AWS D17.1 Aerospace Specification as required to manual weld aviation hardware from 0.020” to 0.300” thickness, in all positions comprised of stainless steel, Inconel, cobalt, and aluminum alloys.
