The role involves executing test plans, performing manual and automated testing, and ensuring that all software deliverables meet defined quality standards. This position offers exposure to complex enterprise and infrastructure-related systems and collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams in an agile setup.
Key Responsibilities
- Test Execution & Validation
- Perform manual and functional testing of web applications and portals.
- Prepare and execute test cases, test scripts, and regression test suites.
- Identify, document, and track defects using JIRA / Azure DevOps.
- Validate UI functionality, performance, and usability across browsers.
- Test Planning & Documentation
- Assist in preparing test plans and test data for assigned modules.
- Maintain detailed documentation of test results and status reports.
- Support QA Lead in maintaining test coverage and traceability.
- Collaboration & Support
- Work closely with developers and business analysts to clarify requirements and verify fixes.
- Participate in sprint ceremonies (planning, reviews, retrospectives).
- Support UAT testing with business users.
- Automation (Optional / Added Advantage)
- Basic understanding of Selenium / Postman for automation or API testing.
- Write simple scripts for smoke or regression tests (if applicable).
Requirements
Required Skills & Experience
- 1–2 years of experience in software testing (preferably web-based applications).
- Hands-on experience with functional, UI, and regression testing.
- Familiar with tools such as JIRA, TestRail, or similar QA management systems.
- Basic knowledge of SQL for backend validation.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum delivery cycles.
- Good analytical and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related discipline.
- Exposure to GIS or map-based applications is a plus.
- Knowledge of API testing tools like Postman or Swagger.
- Interest in learning automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress).
