Quality Engineer

You are an experienced Quality Engineer with over 6 years of hands-on experience in welding and fabrication quality management. Your main responsibility will be to ensure the maintenance of high-quality standards in welding and fabrication processes through quality assurance, documentation, and audit handling. You will monitor and inspect welding and fabrication processes to guarantee compliance with quality standards and customer requirements. Additionally, you will be in charge of preparing, maintaining, and managing all quality-related documentation, including inspection reports, NCRs, audit reports, and process control records. Conducting internal and external quality audits, ensuring timely closure of audit findings, handling audit documentation, and coordinating with certification bodies for quality system compliance will be part of your tasks. You will also implement and enforce quality control procedures and inspection plans specific to welding and fabrication, identify quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and execute corrective and preventive actions. Collaboration with production, engineering, and vendors to address quality concerns and enhance manufacturing processes is essential. Moreover, you will be responsible for training and guiding team members on quality standards, welding codes, and fabrication best practices. To qualify for this role, you must hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related discipline, and have a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in quality engineering, focusing on welding and fabrication. Strong knowledge of welding processes, fabrication techniques, and related quality standards is required, along with expertise in quality documentation, audit handling, and compliance with ISO/ASME standards. Proficiency in using quality tools and techniques such as FMEA, SPC, 8D, and Root Cause Analysis, as well as experience in preparing and handling audit reports and NCR closures, are also necessary.
