Job Summary

Quality Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Inspect sheet metal parts and assemblies as per drawings and specifications.
Ensure quality standards are followed during incoming, in-process, and final inspection.
Prepare and maintain quality documents such as inspection reports, check sheets, and control plans.
Handle customer complaints and take corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Coordinate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues.
Monitor and improve process quality to reduce defects and rework.
Support internal audits and continuous improvement activities.

Required Skills & Knowledge

Good knowledge of
sheet metal processes
(cutting, bending, welding, fabrication).
Ability to read and understand
engineering drawings
.
Experience with
measuring instruments
(Vernier, micrometer, height gauge, gauges).
Basic knowledge of
ISO quality systems
is preferred.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualification

Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Experience

3 to 6 years of experience in
quality assurance/control
, preferably in sheet metal industry.
