Quality Engineer

· Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections using standard measuring instruments.

· Prepare and maintain all inspection and test reports as per control plan.

· Conduct root cause analysis for non-conformities using tools such as 8D, 5 Why, and Fishbone.

· Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of gauges and instruments.

· Participate in internal audits and support customer / third-party audits.

· Drive initiatives for reduction in rejection, rework, and cost of poor quality (COPQ).

· Ensure adherence to safety and 5S standards in inspection areas.

· Support training of operators on quality standards and inspection methods.

· Handle customer complaints and track resolution status.

3. Skills & Competencies:

· Knowledge of mechanical drawings, GD&T, and tolerance limits.

· Proficiency in using Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, etc.

· Knowledge of ISO 9001, MSA, SPC, and CAPA methodologies.

· Strong analytical and documentation skills.

· Good communication and teamwork ability.

4. Educational & Experience Requirements:

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical or Production Engineering.
• Minimum 1–2 years’ experience(Fresher can apply) in quality department of a mechanical/transmission manufacturing unit.
• Experience in machined, gear, or shaft components preferred.
