Quality Engineer

What you’ll do

• Establish and run quality processes across production, assembly, and electrical integration.
• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections for machined parts, composites, structures, and avionics hardware.
• Validate wiring harnesses, crimping, continuity, shielding, and routing against aerospace workmanship standards.
• Develop and maintain checklists, inspection sheets, FAI reports, NCR logs, and corrective-action workflows.
• Ensure proper traceability, part tagging, tooling calibration, and build documentation.
• Audit structural assembly, fit checks, connectors, and electrical installations.
• Work closely with mfg., avionics, and flight-test teams to resolve quality escapes.
• Support environmental, vibration, and EMI/EMC quality checks for flight hardware.
• Maintain conformance to aerospace practices (AS9100, AS50881, IPC/WHMA-A-620).
• Drive continuous improvement in build processes, design-for-assembly, and reliability.

What we’re looking for

• 1–5 years of experience in aircraft/UAV manufacturing, aerospace quality, or avionics integration.
• Strong understanding of both mechanical/production quality and electrical/avionics workmanship.
• Familiarity with AS9100 quality systems, NCR/8D processes, and traceability control.
• Practical experience with harness inspections, crimp tools, continuity testers, torque tools, and measurement systems.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, 3D models, and build instructions.
• High attention to detail, process discipline, and on-floor problem-solving.
• Bonus: Experience with composites, IPC standards, aircraft assembly, or flight-test readiness.
