Quality Control Manager

Job Summary:

The Quality Control Manager is responsible for ensuring that all products meet internal and external quality standards before reaching consumers. This includes developing, implementing, and managing quality control systems designed to ensure continuous production of FMCG products (consistent with established standards, customer specifications, and production goals).

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement quality control procedures and product specifications.

Monitor performance of the QC team and manage day-to-day lab activities.

Ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards (e.g., FSSAI, ISO, HACCP, GMP, BRC).

Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for quality issues.

Coordinate with production, procurement, and R&D teams to resolve quality-related concerns.

Maintain accurate QC documentation including batch records, inspection reports, and audit logs.

Lead internal and external audits and assist in supplier audits.

Train and mentor QC staff on quality control processes, safety, and hygiene.

Stay updated on industry trends, quality regulations, and best practices.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or master's degree in food technology, Chemistry, Microbiology, or related f ield.

Minimum 58 years of experience in quality control within the FMCG sector.

In-depth knowledge of FMCG production processes, especially food/beverage/personal care products.

Familiarity with quality management systems and tools (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 22000, Six Sigma).

Key Skills:

Strong leadership and people management skills.

Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.

Proficient in using quality tools and statistical software (e.g., SPC, Minitab).

Strong communication and coordination skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Experience (3-5) years.

Preferred Certifications (optional):

Certified Quality Auditor (CQA)

Six Sigma Green/Black Belt

HACCP or FSSC 22000 Certification
