Quality Control Engineer

Position Objectives:

To ensure that all High Tension cables produced meet internal and external quality standards through rigorous inspection, testing, and documentation practices.

Key Accountability

• In-Process Quality Checks - Monitor HT cable production stages (conductor stranding, insulation, sheathing) for compliance.
• Final Product Testing - Conduct electrical, mechanical, and dimensional tests as per BIS/IEC standards.
• Documentation & Reporting - Maintain inspection records, test reports, and deviation logs.
• Root Cause Analysis - Investigate quality issues and assist in implementing corrective/preventive actions.
• Calibration & Lab Readiness - Ensure all QC instruments are calibrated and lab is audit-ready.
• Compliance & Audit Support - Support internal and external audits; ensure adherence to ISO 9001 and customer specs.

Technical/Functional Expertise

• Strong understanding of HT cable manufacturing processes (up to 33kV and above).
• Familiarity with BIS/IEC standards (e.g., IS 7098, IS 8130).
• Hands-on experience with insulation resistance, high voltage, partial discharge, and tensile tests.
• Proficiency in using UTM, HV test sets, resistance meters, and dimensional gauges.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, 5S, and basic statistical quality tools.

Experience: 3–6 years in HT Cable QC within a cable manufacturing unit

Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹750,000.00 per year
