Cable Plant Engineer

Position Objectives:

To ensure efficient, safe, and quality-driven production of HT & LT cables by managing plant operations, optimizing processes, and leading the production team.

Educational Qualification:

BE or B-Tech in Electrical or Mechanical.

Preferred Competency:

HT & LT Cable Manufacturing, Process Optimization, BIS/ISO Standards.

Key Accountability:

• Production Management - Supervise daily operations of HT/LT cable lines; ensure adherence to production targets.
• Process Optimization - Monitor and improve process parameters for quality and efficiency.
• Quality Assurance - Ensure compliance with BIS, ISO, and customer-specific standards.
• Team Supervision - Guide and train operators; ensure shift discipline and productivity.
• Maintenance Coordination - Liaise with maintenance team to minimize downtime and ensure machine health.
• Safety & Compliance - Enforce plant safety protocols and statutory compliance.
• Reporting & Documentation - Maintain production logs, quality records, and incident reports.

Technical/Functional Expertise

• In-depth knowledge of HT/LT cable manufacturing processes (extrusion, stranding, armoring, sheathing).
• Familiarity with BIS/IEC standards and ISO 9001:2015.
• Understanding of the materials used in cables, such as copper, aluminum, PVC, XLPE, and rubber.
• Hands-on experience with RTU/PLC/SCADA-based systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot machinery and ensure smooth plant operations.
• Strong understanding of preventive maintenance and TPM practices.

Experience: 5–10 years in HT/LT Cable Production.

Reporting to: Plant Head / Production Manager.

Remuneration: Rs. 5.5 LPA – Rs. 8.5 LPA (Mid-Level); Rs. 9 LPA – Rs. 12 LPA (Senior)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹550,000.00 - ₹850,000.00 per year
