Quality Control and assurance Engineer

We are looking for a Quality Control Engineer with a strong foundation in inspection, compliance, and continuous improvement to help us deliver top-tier engineered systems and components.

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

Quality Control & Inspection

-Conduct in-process and final inspections of fabricated equipment including SS/CS/MS structure, sheet metal parts, and machined assemblies.

-Inspect and validate castings, forgings, weldments, and pressure-holding components.

-Use and maintain measuring instruments like Surface Roughness Testers, Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gauges, Dial Gauges, Hardness Testers, etc.

Compliance & Documentation

-Ensure compliance with GMP, ISO 9001, and other applicable standards.

-Interpret engineering drawings, P&ID, GD&T, welding standards, and material specifications.

-Prepare inspection reports, quality certificates, and maintain traceable QA/QC documentation.

Process & Problem Solving

-Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) using tools such as 5-Why and 8D methodologies.

-Assist in managing NCRs, CAPA, and supplier quality approvals.

-Support audits and drive continuous improvement culture across shop floor operations.

Cross-functional Collaboration

-Work with Design and Production teams to ensure manufacturability and compliance during new product development.

-Review and execute QAPs, Control Plans, and Process Flow Diagrams for custom projects.

🔹 Qualifications & Skills:

-Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering

-3–5 years of quality control experience in machinery, fabrication, or equipment manufacturing, preferably in food/pharma/biotech industries

-Knowledge of NDT techniques such as LPT, UT, RT (ASNT Level II preferred)

-Familiarity with Welding Standards, WPS/PQR/WPQ

-Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings, machining tolerances, and material test reports

-Working knowledge of ISO 9001, shop floor processes, and regulatory standards

-Skilled in MS Office, basic CAD, and process documentation

-Strong attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and effective communication skills

🔹 Tools & Instruments Knowledge:

-Surface Roughness Tester

-Vernier Caliper, Micrometer

-Dial Gauge, Height Gauge

-Hardness Tester

-Welding gauges

-NDT Tools (DPT Kit, UT Machine – basic understanding)

-Familiarity with CMM (optional, added advantage)
