Fluid Bed Dryer Design Engineer Pina Engineering is looking for an experienced Fluid Bed Dryer Design Engineer to join our growing team driving innovation in process equipment for the food, pharmaceutical, and biotech industries. This role is critical in developing advanced thermal processing systems like spray granulation, agglomeration, and encapsulation technologies. Key Responsibilities Design and develop fluid bed drying systems (batch or continuous mode), including 3D models, P&IDs, and BOMs. Optimize thermal and process design for particle drying, granulation, and coating applications. Collaborate closely with process, automation, and production teams to ensure equipment meets customer specifications. Provide support for fabrication, testing, and commissioning activities. Ensure compliance with relevant safety and hygiene standards (ATEX, GMP, food/pharma design). Your Profile / Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Process Engineering. 3+ years of experience in thermal process equipment design , ideally involving fluid or spouted bed systems . Proficiency in CAD tools (Inventor/Creo, AutoCAD). Understanding of fluid dynamics , mass and heat transfer , and particle processing behavior. Experience with drying technologies and interest in granulation , coating , or spray encapsulation processes is a plus. Problem-solving mindset, openness to new technologies, and a strong sense of ownership. Eagerness to learn, grow, and innovate with a cross-functional team.
