Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled QA Engineer / SDET (Software Development Engineer

in Test) with strong expertise in Java, Selenium, BDD frameworks (Cucumber,

JBehave, etc.), and database testing. The ideal candidate will design, develop,

and maintain automated test frameworks, ensure quality in every phase of the

SDLC, and collaborate closely with developers and product teams to deliver robust

and scalable software.

Key Responsibilities

 Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Java and

Selenium WebDriver.

 Implement and maintain BDD frameworks (e.g., Cucumber, JBehave) for

clear and collaborative test scenarios.

 Conduct functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing for

web and API applications.

 Perform database testing by writing and executing SQL queries to validate

data integrity and backend logic.

 Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and DevOps teams to identify

test scenarios and automation opportunities.

 Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions,

or similar).

 Analyze test results, identify root causes, and drive quality improvements.

 Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning,

grooming, and retrospectives.

 Ensure compliance with best testing practices, including code reviews and

documentation of test cases and results.

Required Skills and Qualifications

 Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a

related field.

 5+ years of experience in QA automation or SDET roles.

 Strong proficiency in Java programming and object-oriented design

principles.

 Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver for UI automation.

 Practical knowledge of BDD frameworks (Cucumber, JBehave, SpecFlow,

etc.).

 Solid understanding of SQL and experience in database testing (data

validation, joins, stored procedures).

 Experience with API testing using tools like RestAssured, Postman, or

SoapUI.
