About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented Quality Analyst Intern with a foundational understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) concepts. You will assist the Quality Analyst team in designing and executing test cases, tracking bugs, and ensuring quality across different stages of development.

SDLC-Aligned Responsibilities

• Requirement Analysis: Participate in requirement review meetings and identify testable scenarios.
• Design Phase: Collaborate with Quality Analyst leads to prepare test plans and identify testing strategies.
• Development Phase: Prepare and maintain test cases in sync with feature progress.
• Testing Phase: Perform manual and/or automated testing, log bugs, and retest after fixes.
• Deployment Phase: Assist in smoke/sanity testing in pre-production environments.
• Maintenance: Retest bug fixes and update test suites for enhancements or change requests.

Other Responsibilities

• Learn and work with Quality Analyst tools like JIRA, TestRail, or Postman.
• Understand Agile/Scrum workflows and participate in sprint ceremonies.
• Support the Quality Analyst team in documenting processes, reports, and feedback.
• Optionally contribute to test automation using Selenium, Cypress, or similar tools.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Basic understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) concepts.
• Familiarity with software testing types (functional, regression, UAT, etc.)
• Some experience with any programming or scripting language.
• Clear communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

• Awareness of bug tracking and test case management tools.
• Exposure to web APIs and tools like Postman.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing concepts.
