QC Manager

As the Quality Control (QC) Manager in the Quality Control department located in Cuttack within the Food Processing / FMCG industry, your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all food products meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements. You will play a crucial role in implementing and monitoring quality control procedures, conducting audits, supervising QC personnel, and ensuring the overall quality and safety of food products throughout the production process. Your key responsibilities will include: - Ensuring that all food products comply with company-defined quality standards and national and international food safety regulations such as FSSAI, NABL, and MSME. - Developing, implementing, and maintaining quality control procedures and policies in alignment with industry best practices and organizational objectives. - Conducting regular audits and inspections of production facilities, equipment, and processes to identify risks, non-compliance, or areas for improvement. - Training, guiding, and supervising the quality control team to ensure adherence to quality protocols and continuous performance enhancement. - Analyzing QC data to identify trends, recurring issues, and opportunities for corrective/preventive actions. - Maintaining accurate records of inspections, quality control activities, corrective actions, and compliance documentation. - Investigating quality issues, determining root causes, and implementing corrective and preventive measures. - Staying updated on food safety regulations, industry standards, and best practices to ensure timely compliance. - Setting product specifications, monitoring raw material requirements, and ensuring supplier compliance. - Coordinating with production and engineering teams to maintain quality standards during product development and manufacturing. - Managing product release through SAP systems, ensuring completion of all quality checks and documentation. - Promoting MSME ZED practices within the organization for high product quality with minimal environmental impact. - Overseeing external lab test reports upload on the FSSAI portal for transparency and consumer safety. - Acting as the Food Safety Team Leader managing the organization's FSMS. - Auditing pest control and sanitation processes to uphold food safety. - Approving packaging material and designs in line with FSSAI rules, managing barcode generation and tracking. - Ensuring product and water testing as per NABL norms for quality assurance. - Handling yearly filing of returns and evaluation of investment performances within the quality function. - Contributing to and managing the annual quality control budget.
