Job Title: Quality Manager & ERP Coordinator – Manufacturing (PET & Aluminium Bottles) Location: Surya Industries, Samba, Jammu Work Type: Full-time | On-site Experience: 5–6 years preferred in manufacturing / quality / ERP operations About Us: Surya Industries is a growing manufacturing company based in Samba, Jammu, specializing in PET and aluminium bottle packaging for the liquor, pharmaceutical, and agrochemical industries. With state-of-the-art machines and a committed team, we are expanding our operations and are looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented, and driven Quality Manager to support day-to-day operations and help build the factory’s systems and documentation. Role Summary: The QC Manager will build, implement, and manage a robust Quality Management System across the plant. This role requires strong technical knowledge of PET bottle manufacturing, Aluminium bottle manufacturing, hands-on experience in ASB machines, and the ability to maintain process discipline, documentation accuracy, and cross-department coordination. The QC Manager will ensure that all products meet specifications, production data is accurate, stock is transparent, and the plant remains audit-ready at all times. Key Responsibilities: Create, maintain, and control all Quality Documents (SOPs, WI, QC sheets, CAPA logs, checklists). Maintain and update all product drawings and specifications with version control. Prepare and maintain a complete QC equipment list, calibration schedule, and calibration records. Establish and implement machine operation SOPs and critical parameter sheets for all ASB 50 MB machines. Build and maintain a Golden Sample library for every SKU. Perform and supervise hourly quality checks (visual, dimensional, weight, stress, leak). Maintain and report daily rejection percentages, defect-wise and machine-wise. Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for defects using structured methods (5-Why, Fishbone). Inspect all the incoming materials (Including resin, masterbatch, slugs, corrugated boxes etc), and create appropriate GRN entries in the ERP Prepare the plant for internal and external audits and ensure full documentation compliance. Develop and maintain the QC room, equipment, and standards. Training and Process Discipline: Conduct regular worker training on PET bottle defects, sampling, handling, and hygiene. Create and maintain a monthly training schedule, attendance sheet, and evaluation method. Brief operators on first-piece approvals and ensure sign-off for every changeover. Ensure strict adherence to SOPs by production and QC teams. Production & Stock Coordination: Oversee daily raw material issuance and reconcile against production output. Validate daily production updates (machine-wise) and ensure data accuracy. Maintain Finished Goods (FG) stock, Hold stock for reinspection, and rejection stock records daily. Ensure all FG boxes have complete product and shift information on the labels. Handle pre-dispatch inspection, product release, and documentation. Create dispatch documentation/invoicing and Inspection reports to ensure correct SKU, quantity, batch, and QC status. Provide weekly dashboards to management — RM consumption, production output, rejection %, downtime (if available). Plant Management Support: Assistance in monthly salary calculation & disbursement. Ensure cleanliness, 5S, and basic machine area discipline. Oversee stock space organization and weekly rearrangement. Monitor and support daily invoicing and dispatch accuracy.
