Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Engineer (QC Engineer) with 5–6 years of proven experience in the steel/flanges/pipes/valves industry. The candidate must be well-versed in ASTM, ASME, and API standards, capable of performing inspections, preparing reports, generating MTCs, and handling export-quality documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of flanges, fittings, valves, pipes, and fasteners.
• Carry out dimensional inspections using Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge, etc.
• Review and verify Mill Test Certificates (MTCs) and also prepare MTCs as per ASTM / ASME / API / DIN / EN standards.
• Monitor and coordinate NDT testing (PT/MT/UT/RT) and review NDT reports.
• Prepare and maintain Dimensional Reports, NCR (Non-Conformance Reports), Calibration Records, and Inspection Documents.
• Ensure compliance with ASME B16.5 / B16.47 and relevant international standards.
• Coordinate with clients, third-party inspectors (TPI), and export customers during inspection and approval stages.
• Assist in root cause analysis and recommend corrective/preventive actions.
• Support ISO audits, client audits, and maintain QMS records.
• Ensure export-quality documentation (inspection release notes, MTC, dimensional reports, packing QC records) is prepared accurately.
• Use AutoCAD to check, verify, and prepare drawings related to QC requirements.
• Knowledge of various coatings (Hot Dip Galvanizing, Electroplating, PTFE, Epoxy, Painting, etc.).
• Must be proficient in MTC preparation and report generation.

Required Qualifications & Skills

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Metallurgy Engineering.

- 5–6 years QC experience in steel/flanges/pipes/valves/fasteners industry.

- Strong knowledge of ASTM, ASME, API standards.

- Expertise in preparing and verifying MTCs (Mill Test Certificates).

- Hands-on with inspection tools (Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, etc.).

- Knowledge of NDT methods (PT, MT, UT, RT).

- Experience in preparing dimensional reports and export-quality inspection documents.

- Good communication skills in English (for international clients) and Hindi/Marathi.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred / Advantage

- Experience with international client inspections (GCC, Europe, US).

- Familiarity with oil & gas project specifications.

- Knowledge of galvanizing/coating inspection and heat treatment records.

- Exposure to ISO 9001 documentation and audits.
