Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive QA Tester on a contractual basis to lead and execute end-to-end quality assurance for our Android mobile applications. As a QA Tester, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability, functionality, and usability of our mobile products before they reach end-users.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for Android mobile applications
• Conduct manual and automated testing to identify bugs and ensure performance benchmarks
• Perform functional, UI/UX, regression, smoke, integration, and exploratory testing
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and UI/UX designers
• Create and maintain comprehensive test documentation (test cases, test reports, bug reports)
• Validate APIs using tools like Postman or similar
• Conduct cross-device and cross-platform testing on Android OS
• Identify, record, document, and track bugs using issue tracking tools
• Work within Agile/Scrum teams and participate in sprint planning and reviews
• Ensure adherence to QA best practices, and continuously optimize QA processes
• Support deployment cycles and production validation

Required Skills & Tools

• Mobile QA Testing (Android only)
• Manual Testing: UI, Functional, Regression, Exploratory
• Automation Testing Tools (preferred but not mandatory):
• Appium, Selenium
• Bug Tracking & Test Management Tools:
• JIRA, TestRail, Bugzilla
• API Testing Tools:
• Postman, Swagger
• Device Testing Platforms (if remote):
• BrowserStack, Firebase Test Lab, Kobiton
• Build & CI Tools (familiarity preferred):
• Jenkins, Bitrise, or similar
• Basic understanding of Android platform architecture and testing lifecycle
• Strong communication and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Prior experience testing mobile apps (especially consumer-facing applications)
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git
• Local candidates from Mohali or nearby areas preferred

Work Arrangement

• Location: Preferably Mohali (Hybrid, Remote or Onsite).
• Remote Work: Can be considered for strong profiles.
• Contract Duration: Project-based (to be discussed during interview)
• Working Hours: Flexible, with milestone-based deliverables
