Job Description: As an Automation Test Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated tests to validate the functionality, performance, and security of our software applications. You will work closely with development and quality assurance teams to identify and address defects and ensure the delivery of high-quality software. Responsibilities: 1. Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard automation tools and frameworks. 2. Collaborate with the development team to understand software requirements and design effective test strategies. 3. Execute automated tests, analyze results, and report defects, ensuring timely resolution. 4. Continuously monitor and improve the test automation process to increase efficiency and coverage. 5. Perform manual testing as needed, especially in cases where automation is not feasible or cost-effective. 6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to triage and prioritize defects and issues. 7. Contribute to the continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipeline by automating test execution. 8. Create and maintain comprehensive test documentation. 9. Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in test automation and quality assurance. Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). 2. Proven experience in automated software testing, including the design and implementation of test automation frameworks. 3. Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as Java, Python, or C#. 4. Familiarity with test automation tools like Selenium, Appium, or similar. 5. Knowledge of web and mobile application testing. 6. Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.). 7. Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills. 8. Strong communication and collaboration skills. 9. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results. 10. Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB, Selenium) would be a plus. Preferred Skills: 1. Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. 2. Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git). 3. Experience with performance testing tools and techniques. 4. Security testing knowledge and practices.
