Role Overview Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

We are seeking a results-driven Automation Test Engineer with 3–5 years of experience, primarily focused on web application automation using Selenium and Java. The ideal candidate will also possess hands-on experience with CI/CD pipeline integration and a solid working knowledge of mobile test automation using Appium. This role demands strong scripting and framework development abilities, with a knack for maintaining automation pipelines. You’ll actively contribute to both web and mobile automation test suites, collaborating closely with development and DevOps teams to ensure fast, high-quality releases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop robust automation frameworks using Selenium with Java.
• Perform mobile application testing on Android and iOS using Appium.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Design, write, and execute automated regression, sanity, and functional test suites.
• Collaborate with developers and product owners to ensure end-to-end quality in the SDLC.
• Participate in code reviews, test case reviews, and recommend improvements in automation strategy.
• Use AI-driven testing tools (e.g., self-healing locators, test impact analysis) to enhance test reliability and efficiency.
• Apply ChatGPT or similar LLM tools to generate test cases, optimize test logic, and assist in dynamic script generation.
• Show enthusiasm for leveraging AI to automate repetitive tasks, identify flaky tests, and enhance QA coverage.

Key Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience in Selenium WebDriver with Java, including writing end-to-end automation test cases for web applications.
• Proven expertise in mobile automation using Appium.
• Practical knowledge of CI/CD tools and test integration into pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
• Solid understanding of test design techniques, test case management, and defect lifecycle.
• Good to have: Familiarity with JMeter or other performance testing tools.
• Solid understanding of QA methodologies, functional testing, test design techniques, test case management, and defect lifecycle.
• Good experience working in Agile methodologies with active involvement in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (including B.Tech in Electronics), or a related field.

MTech / MCA from a reputed college or university
