QA Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a QA Tester (Manual + Automation) with 1–3 years of professional experience in software testing. The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, analytical, and passionate about software quality. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with the Product and Development teams to ensure robust, high-quality software delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute manual and automation test cases based on functional and technical requirements.
• Identify, log, report, and track bugs using tools like ZOHO, JIRA or Bugzilla.
• Validate backend data using SQL queries.
• Perform API testing using tools like Postman.
• Develop and maintain automation test scripts using frameworks such as Selenium (Java/Python), and tools for mobile testing.
• Conduct testing across multiple platforms (web, mobile, and APIs).
• Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, requirement gathering, and defect triage meetings.
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and business analysts to ensure clarity and full test coverage.
• Maintain QA documentation including test plans, test cases, test execution reports, and defect reports.
• Ensure adherence to SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and QA methodologies (Smoke, Regression, Functional, Integration testing, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with manual testing and proven ability to design test cases.
• Experience with at least one automation framework (Selenium with Java/Python, Cypress, Playwright, Appium) and test management tools.
• Familiarity with bug tracking tools like JIRA or Bugzilla.
• Solid understanding of API testing (Postman) and SQL for database validation.
• Knowledge of version control systems like Git is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to think from an end-user perspective.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with a collaborative and proactive attitude.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
• Practical experience in automation frameworks beyond academic projects.
• Basic scripting or programming experience in Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum environments.

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹400,000.00 per year
