QA Automation Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, write, and maintain automated test scripts for functional, integration, regression (and when applicable API / performance) testing.
• Develop and maintain automation frameworks and test suites, ensuring they are scalable, efficient, and reusable.
• Execute automated tests, analyze test results, report defects/bugs, and work with developers to track and resolve issues.
• Perform manual testing when needed (especially for edge cases, UI tests or features unsuitable for automation).
• Work closely with development, product, and design teams to understand requirements and ensure quality throughout the software lifecycle.
• Help define and implement QA best practices, testing strategies, and contribute to quality standards and processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience in automation testing / QA automation.
• Proficiency with automation tools / frameworks e.g. Selenium, TestNG / JUnit / similar, Cypress / other (depending on your stack) or any modern automation stack relevant to your product.
• Good scripting/programming skills (Java / Python / JavaScript / whichever your product stack uses) to write and maintain test scripts reliably.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), and willingness to work in collaborative development environment (with developers, product owners, etc.).
• Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, ability to detect bugs, edge-cases, and ensure high quality deliverables.
• Good communication skills to report bugs clearly, coordinate with team, document test cases & results.
