Python Automation Developer – LTE/Wi-Fi Routers Testing

Position Overview

We are looking for a Python Automation Developer with strong expertise in automation testing of LTE/Wi-Fi routers, gateways, and networking devices. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain automation test frameworks, scripts, and tools to validate device performance, functionality, and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop Python-based automation frameworks for LTE and Wi-Fi router testing.
• Automate functional, regression, and performance tests for networking devices (routers, gateways, CPEs).
• Work on test coverage for protocols such as TCP/IP, DHCP, NAT, DNS, IPv4/IPv6, LTE, and Wi-Fi standards (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax).
• Perform API testing (REST, TR-069, SNMP, CLI automation) for device management.
• Implement test cases to validate firmware upgrades, failover, throughput, and QoS features.
• Integrate automation with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar).
• Analyze test failures, debug issues, and work closely with development teams to resolve defects.
• Prepare detailed test reports, logs, and documentation for stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or related field.
• Strong experience in Python scripting and automation frameworks (pytest, Robot Framework, unittest).
• Hands-on knowledge of networking concepts: TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, IPv4/IPv6.
• Experience with LTE/Wi-Fi router testing (preferably on embedded networking devices).
• Familiarity with tools and test equipment: Wireshark, iPerf, Spirent/Keysight, traffic generators.
• Exposure to Linux environments (shell scripting, system debugging).
• Experience with source control tools (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

Good to Have

• Knowledge of automation for cloud-managed networking devices.
• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes-based test environments.
• Understanding of security testing (firewall, penetration, SSL/TLS validation).
• Familiarity with telecom standards: 3GPP, IEEE 802.11.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹283,279.21 - ₹1,377,790.70 per year
