About the Role

Optical Character Recognition (OCR)

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and fine-tune OCR models to extract structured data from electric meter images and scanned documents.
• Deploy models into production environments using tools such as TensorFlow Lite, ONNX, and TensorRT.
• Build and deploy time series forecasting models (e.g., XGBoost, LSTM, Prophet) for load and consumption prediction at consumer, transformer, and substation levels.
• Work with large-scale datasets (images and time series) and perform data preprocessing, augmentation, and feature engineering.

·      Design and maintain robust, scalable, and efficient code in Python.

• Collaborate with backend and DevOps teams to integrate models into production pipelines.
• Conduct performance tuning and optimization of models for inference speed and accuracy.
• Evaluate models using appropriate metrics and validation techniques.
• Stay updated with the latest research in computer vision and forecasting.
