Purchase Manager - Sulphur Import

Responsibilities:

• Manage purchase of sulphur, primarily sourced from the Middle East region.
• Handle import operations, international trading activities, and vendor coordination.
• Work closely with refineries, petrochemical suppliers, and international traders.
• Manage import/export documentation, shipping coordination, logistics, storage, and material handling.
• Oversee cost components including procurement, logistics, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), duties, and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate shipments through major ports including Jebel Ali, Jeddah, Fujairah, Yanbu, Sohar, Doha, Khalifa Bin Salman, and Bandar Abbas.
• Support commercial negotiations, contract management, and development of long-term supplier and customer relationships.
• Monitor market trends, pricing dynamics, and supply-demand conditions in the sulphur and petrochemical markets.
• Demonstrate flexibility and ability to travel internationally as required for business operations.
• Ensure efficient logistics and transportation under CIF terms, including coordination with shipping lines and logistics partners.
• Handle bulk shipments, port operations, and vessel scheduling to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
• Manage coordination with third-party inspection agencies for quality, quantity, and compliance verification.
• Support and manage government and corporate tenders, including technical/commercial documentation and compliance requirements.

Key Requirements:

• 1520 years of relevant experience in sulphur, petrochemical, or international commodity trading.
• Strong understanding of Middle East import markets and global trade practices.
• In-depth knowledge of refineries, oil & gas operations, and international trade processes.
• Hands-on experience in procurement, imports, logistics coordination, and trade documentation.
• Proven ability to manage end-to-end purchase independently.
• Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and stakeholder management capabilities.
