Purchase Manager – Construction Company

About Us

VKJ Infrastructures is a road construction and infrastructure development company committed to delivering high-quality projects with efficiency and integrity. To strengthen our procurement operations, we are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Purchase Manager who can support project execution with timely sourcing and material management.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement of construction materials, machinery, tools, consumables, and services.
• Identify, evaluate, and maintain a reliable vendor network for civil and road construction works.
• Obtain quotations, negotiate pricing, and ensure cost-effective purchasing.
• Coordinate closely with site engineers, storekeepers, and project managers for daily requirements.
• Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment to avoid project delays.
• Maintain purchase records, delivery timelines, and vendor performance logs.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and project specifications.
• Plan procurement schedules based on site progress and equipment deployment.

Qualifications & Skills

• ITI or Diploma (Civil, Mechanical, or relevant field).
• 0–5 years of experience in construction procurement, preferably in road projects.
• Good knowledge of construction materials, roadwork methods, and equipment.
• Strong negotiation, documentation, and vendor management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, on-site project environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office, WhatsApp communication, and basic ERP/software (preferred).
