Purchase Head

Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Purchase Head / Director to lead our procurement and supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in vendor management, cost optimization, supply planning, and sourcing strategies across large-scale industries. The role requires strong leadership, negotiation, and decision-making skills to drive efficiency and profitability.

• Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement effective procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals.

• Lead and manage the complete purchasing cycle including vendor selection, negotiation, contracts, and supplier relationship management.
• Ensure timely procurement of raw materials, machinery, spares, and services while maintaining quality standards.
• Monitor inventory levels, forecast demand, and coordinate with production/operations teams.
• Drive cost-saving initiatives through strategic sourcing, alternate vendor development, and process improvements.
• Negotiate long-term agreements and contracts with domestic and international suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, legal, and company policies related to procurement.
• Prepare periodic reports, budgets, and forecasts for senior management.
• Lead and mentor the purchase/procurement team for enhanced productivity and efficiency.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum 10–15 years of proven experience in industrial procurement/purchase management.
• Prior experience in Sugar, Paper, Pharmaceuticals, Chemicals, Automobile, Beverages, or related industries is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain management, vendor development, and cost optimization techniques.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.

Leadership skills with experience managing large teams and cross-functional stakeholders.

• Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹200,000.00 - ₹250,000.00 per month
