Purchase Executive

We are looking for a Purchase Executive who will be responsible for sourcing the best quality materials at the most competitive rates, negotiating with vendors, preparing purchase orders, and ensuring timely delivery to project sites. The ideal candidate must have strong vendor management skills, a good understanding of engineering drawings (AutoCAD knowledge), and the ability to visit sites as required. Key Responsibilities:Identify, evaluate, and select vendors who can provide quality materials at the most economical rates. Compare quotations, negotiate prices, and ensure cost-effective procurement without compromising quality. Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) accurately and in a timely manner. Maintain relationships with existing vendors and develop new vendor sources. Conduct site visits to understand material requirements and coordinate deliveries. Verify material specifications as per drawings and ensure compliance with project requirements. Collaborate with the design and engineering team; ability to read and interpret AutoCAD drawings is essential. Follow up with vendors for on-time delivery and resolve any supply issues. Maintain purchase records, agreements, and vendor database. Ensure procurement complies with company policies and quality standards. Required Skills & Qualifications:Education: Diploma / Degree in Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain, or related field. Experience: 1–3 years in purchase or procurement, preferably in the water treatment / construction / engineering industry. Strong negotiation and communication skills. Knowledge of AutoCAD to understand technical drawings and specifications. Ability to visit sites and vendors when required. Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word) and email communication. Strong analytical and comparison skills for rate analysis.
