Job Description – Purchase Engineer

Key Responsibilities

· Supplier Management:

Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with suppliers of equipment and services for ETP/STP projects.

· Procurement Process:

Manage the entire procurement lifecycle, from sourcing and RFQ (Request for Quotation) to contract negotiation and PO (Purchase Order) placement.

· Cost Analysis & Negotiation:

Analyze proposals, negotiate favorable terms with suppliers to optimize costs, and ensure the best value for the company.

· Technical Knowledge:

Understand technical specifications and requirements for ETP and STP equipment, such as pumps, blowers, valves, pipelines, and dosing systems.

· Compliance & Logistics:

Ensure compliance with all relevant national and international regulations, and manage logistics, including transportation, storage, and distribution of components.

· Coordination:

Collaborate with internal departments, such as project execution, engineering, and sales, to support project needs and ensure timely material delivery.

· Documentation:

Maintain procurement records, including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier performance reports.

Required Skills and Qualifications

· Education: A degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental Engineering, or a related technical discipline is often preferred.

· Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of ETP/STP processes and equipment.

· Negotiation & Communication: Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

· Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to evaluate supplier proposals and identify cost-saving opportunities. .

· Software Proficiency: Knowledge of Tally and MS word.

Experience : 3 to 5 years

Typical Background

· Proven experience in procurement or purchase roles within the water/wastewater treatment or related engineering sectors.

· Familiarity with ETP, STP, and WTP (Water Treatment Plant) equipment and technologies.

· Experience in managing the entire procurement process, from supplier identification to final delivery.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
