Purchase Coordinator

As a Purchase Coordinator/Executive at Symbiosis University in Pune, your role will involve managing procurement activities to meet institutional requirements efficiently. Your responsibilities will include: - Handling the end-to-end procurement cycle such as indent processing, vendor sourcing, negotiation, and order placement. - Identifying reliable vendors and suppliers for various goods and services required by the University. - Obtaining quotations, preparing comparative statements, and ensuring adherence to University policies. - Negotiating terms, pricing, and contracts to achieve cost savings while maintaining quality standards. - Coordinating with internal departments to understand purchase requirements. - Tracking delivery schedules and ensuring timely receipt of goods and services. - Conducting periodic vendor evaluations and maintaining strong supplier relationships. - Ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and University procurement guidelines. - Assisting in budgeting, cost control, and audit documentation related to procurement. Key skills and competencies required for this role include: - Strong knowledge of procurement processes and vendor management. - Negotiation and communication skills. - Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, or other procurement software. - Attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. - Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple requirements. - Knowledge of statutory compliances and purchase norms in an academic/university environment (preferred).
