Job Role: Purchase Incharge – Electronic ComponentsPosition Overview

The Purchase Incharge is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring electronic components, materials, and accessories required for production, R&D, and service operations. The role ensures timely availability of quality components at competitive prices while maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and adhering to organizational policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Procurement & Sourcing
  • Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers of electronic components.
  • Source critical components like ICs, semiconductors, passives, connectors, sensors, and PCBs.
  • Develop alternate sources to avoid supply chain disruptions.
  • Negotiation & Cost Control
  • Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
  • Optimize cost savings while maintaining quality standards.
  • Monitor market trends and fluctuations in component pricing.
  • Inventory & Supply Chain Management
  • Coordinate with stores/warehouse for stock monitoring and reorder levels.
  • Ensure minimum lead time for critical components.
  • Maintain balance between excess stock and shortages.
  • Vendor Management
  • Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships.
  • Evaluate supplier performance in terms of quality, cost, delivery, and service.
  • Ensure vendors comply with company’s quality and procurement standards.
  • Documentation & Compliance
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders (POs) and contracts.
  • Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and delivery schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO/IEC standards, RoHS, and environmental requirements when applicable.
  • Cross-Department Coordination
  • Work closely with R&D, Production, and QA teams to understand component requirements.
  • Support engineering team with alternate or replacement components when needed.
  • Resolve supply-related issues impacting production schedules.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of electronic components (active, passive, electromechanical, and PCB assemblies).
  • Vendor negotiation and relationship management.
  • Cost analysis and budgeting.
  • ERP/MRP systems knowledge (SAP, Oracle, Tally, or equivalent).
  • Documentation and compliance management.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making under pressure.

Qualifications

  • Diploma/Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field. FRESHER OR 1 years of experience in purchase/procurement of electronic components.
  • Exposure to global suppliers/distributors (e.g., Mouser, Digi-Key, RS, Element14) preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
