The Scientific Communications Publication Coordinator provides end-to-end operational support across the publication development lifecycle, ensuring high-quality, compliant delivery of Amgens scientific communication strategy. This role is accountable for maintaining publication records in Amgens Salesforce platform, driving timeline adherence, coordinating review and approval activities with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring that ICMJE criteria and SOPs are adhered to.
Reporting to the Scientific Communications Operations Sr Manager in Hyderabad, the Publication Coordinator partners closely with medical writers, subject matter experts, and cross-functional teams to keep publication processes on track and in alignment with Amgens publication policies and compliance requirements.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Creating, updating, and maintaining accurate publication records in Salesforce system of record

Tracking project milestones, sending reminders, and capturing stakeholder feedback to support on-time publication delivery

Coordinating author communications, including author invitations, reviews, and approvals, with internal and external stakeholders

Collaborating with writers and subject matter experts to circulate drafts and manage timelines

Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of SOPs, best practices, and product team dynamics in a fast-paced, evolving work environment

Ensuring adherence to publication policies and escalating potential compliance issues in a timely manner

Conducting compliance checks to confirm alignment with industry standards (e.g., ICMJE) and Amgen requirements

Using productivity applications (e.g., Microsoft 365 applications) and custom AI and automation tools to support daily activities

Ensuring consistent, high-quality data entry

Participating in publication planning and strategy discussions to ensure currency in record-keeping

Circulate publication drafts for review, track feedback, and ensure comments are captured and addressed.
