Job Description

Role & responsibilities

A. External Communications

  • Develop and implement PR strategies to strengthen the companys brand image in the FMCG market.
  • Draft press releases, media notes, corporate statements, and communication briefs.
  • Manage media relations with print, digital, and electronic media agencies.
  • Coordinate with PR agencies for brand campaigns, product launches, and media coverage.
  • Monitor brand mentions, competitor PR activities, and industry trends.
  • Support communication for new product launches, marketing campaigns, and brand activations.
  • Handle crisis communication and prepare media responses as required.

B. Media & Influencer Management

  • Build strong relationships with journalists, editors, bloggers, and influencers.
  • Plan and execute influencer marketing activities aligned with brand strategy.
  • Manage media visits, interviews, brand events, and press conferences.
  • Track and analyse media coverage and prepare monthly PR reports.

C. Corporate Communications

  • Create and maintain communication materials such as corporate profiles, leadership bios, and internal newsletters.
  • Support CSR communication, sustainability reports, and brand storytelling.
  • Prepare speeches, talking points, and presentations for senior leadership.
  • Ensure all communication aligns with company values and brand identity.

D. Internal Communications

  • Support internal communication initiatives including employee engagement campaigns, leadership announcements, and intranet updates.
  • Draft internal mailers, event communication, and cultural content.
  • Coordinate internal events and communication sessions.

E. Stakeholder Management

  • Liaise with cross-functional teams including Marketing, HR, Sales, and Product Management.
  • Collaborate with agencies (creative, PR, digital) for content creation and PR campaigns.
  • Manage PR budgets, agency billing, and documentation.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Strong communication, storytelling, and content-writing skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain media & stakeholder relationships.
  • Knowledge of FMCG industry dynamics, consumer trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Experience in crisis communication and brand reputation management.
  • Proficiency in media monitoring tools & social listening platforms.
  • Creative thinking and ability to design impactful communication strategies.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in Mass Communication, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or related field.
  • PR agency or corporate communications experience in FMCG, Retail, Consumer Goods, or Lifestyle sectors preferred.
  • Experience managing media and influencer relationships mandatory.
