Property Manager

The Property Manager will be responsible for end-to-end management of a premium lodging property at Athirappilly, covering sales (walk-in and tele), front office, housekeeping, maintenance, guest relations, and basic accounts/reporting.

The role is fully on-site with food and accommodation provided, and is suitable for a hands-on Kerala male candidate with strong hotel operations and sales conversion experience.

Key responsibilities

Manage day-to-day operations of the lodge including front office, housekeeping, maintenance and F&B coordination to ensure smooth functioning by delegating responsibilities to staff

Handle all walk-in, telephonic and digital enquiries; convert leads to confirmed bookings and upsell room categories, packages and add-ons.

Oversee check-in/check-out, reservations, billing, and cash handling; ensure accurate posting, night audit assistance and daily closure of accounts.

Lead, supervise and roster staff; ensure discipline, grooming, training and performance as per property standards.

Ensure high standards of cleanliness and housekeeping, including room readiness, public areas, linen control and periodic deep cleaning plans. Handle purchase, storage and effective utilisation of house keeping and other consumables and machines.

Coordinate and follow up on preventive and breakdown maintenance with internal team and vendors to keep the property, lift, DG, utilities and rooms in good condition.

Monitor guest experience end-to-end: welcome, stay quality, complaint resolution, review management and repeat/ referral business.

Maintain daily, weekly and monthly reports on occupancy, ADR, revenue, channel-wise sales, petty cash, expenses and staff attendance in prescribed formats

Work actively with management to obtain Best value out of channel manager and OTA dashboards (e.g., Booking.com, MakeMyTrip, Goibibo, etc.) for inventory, rates, content, promotions and closure of overbookings.

Build and nurture relationships with tour operators, travel agencies, package providers, corporates and taxi operators to generate steady business for the property. If required, visit the tourism industry entities and introduce the property to obtain sales.

Candidate profile & requirements

Male candidate, only Kerala-based candidates or natives need apply.

Ideally 3 years’ experience in hotel or resort operations with exposure to front office, reservations, housekeeping coordination and basic F&B interface.

Proven track record in sales conversion (walk-in, tele, OTA leads) and in managing guest experience in a hotel, resort or premium lodge.

Strong leadership with ability to control, motivate and guide a small to medium-sized team in day-to-day operations.

Strong ability to handle situations arising in daily operations and initiative to solve problems utilising the options available at hand.

Ability to initiate and form local contacts and partnerships which would assist in the smooth functioning of the establishment.

Confident in Hindi and English (spoken and written); knowledge of Tamil or other South Indian languages is an added advantage.

Familiarity with PMS, channel manager tools and OTA extranets; experience with any hotel software or booking engine will be considered a strong plus.

Existing live contacts in tourism – tour companies, travel agencies, online package providers, cab/taxi vendors – will be treated as a major advantage.

Compensation & work conditions Salary as per industry standards and commensurate with experience for comparable roles in Kerala. On-site accommodation and food provided; 4 days leave per month as per duty schedule. Performance-based incentive/commission on achieving monthly and seasonal sales and revenue targets. Full-time, in-person role at Athirappilly, with immediate joining preferred and readiness to work on weekends/holidays as per tourist demand.
