Job Description

As an Associate Project Manager at Hitachi Energy, you will be responsible for supporting the Project Manager in the execution of medium to large projects. Your role will involve ensuring that all project activities are carried out in compliance with Hitachi Energy policies, contractual agreements, quality standards, health, safety & environment requirements, financial targets, and schedule commitments. You will collaborate closely with customers, engineering, quality, production, and supply chain teams, requiring strong organizational and communication skills to work effectively both independently and in teams. **Key Responsibilities:** - Supporting the Project Manager in defining execution guidelines, allocating project tasks, and motivating internal and external resources to achieve project milestones. - Collaborating with Finance, Quality, Engineering, and Planning departments to develop project plan documents, including scope, financial plans, schedule, and risk management plans. - Ensuring adherence to execution best practices and Hitachi Energy policies, monitoring project progress, and optimizing resource utilization. - Reviewing critical suppliers' progress and integrating it into the project schedule. - Monitoring and controlling project financials, overseeing invoicing status, costs, expenses, and cash flow. - Identifying, quantifying, and managing project risks, as well as pursuing opportunities. - Capturing, analyzing, and sharing lessons learned throughout the project lifecycle. - Coordinating with Supply Chain Management to procure necessary services, materials, and equipment from external and internal suppliers. - Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and maintaining effective communication as directed by the Project Manager. - Ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, procedures, and guidelines. **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 8 years of experience in Project Management, Project Engineering, or Customer support. - Experience in the execution of multiple HV Substations in the project life cycle. - Demonstrated critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. - Strong leadership and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and issue resolution. - Knowledge of Project Management skills such as critical path analysis and risk identification/mitigation. - Self-motivated with the ability to drive stakeholders towards issue resolution and take a leadership role as a team member. - Negotiation skills for interactions with internal and external customers. - Proficiency in both spoken and written English.
