Project Manager (Plywood / Wood-Based Panels Industry)

Project Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead

  end-to-end project execution

  : feasibility studies, budgeting, vendor selection, procurement, installation, commissioning, and handover.
• Oversee

  greenfield and brownfield factory setups

  , capacity expansion, and modernization projects in plywood or allied manufacturing.
• Manage

  technical aspects

  of plywood manufacturing processes, including presses, dryers, glue mixers, peeling lines, and layout planning.
• Coordinate

  civil, mechanical, and electrical works

  during plant setup and commissioning.
• Utilize

  project planning tools

  (MS Project, Primavera, etc.) and ERP systems for scheduling, monitoring, and reporting.
• Drive strict adherence to

  HSE (Health, Safety & Environment)

  and statutory compliance requirements.
• Lead and manage

  cross-functional teams, contractors, vendors, and consultants

  to ensure timely project delivery.
• Prepare and present

  progress reports, dashboards, and documentation

  for senior management.

Experience & Qualifications:

• 8 - 15 years

  of experience in

  project execution

  within the plywood, MDF, particle board, laminates, or wood-based panels industry.
• Must have played a

  key role in greenfield/brownfield plant setup

  or modernization projects.
• Graduate in

  Mechanical / Electrical / Civil Engineering

  ; post-graduate in Project Management preferred.
• Strong knowledge of

  manufacturing processes, machinery, and layout planning

  in plywood or similar industries.
• Proficiency in

  project management software

  (MS Project, Primavera) and

  ERP systems

  .
• Excellent

  problem-solving, decision-making, and leadership

  abilities.
• Ability to

  travel extensively

  to vendor sites and project locations as required.
