Minimum Qualifications

Undergraduate (UG):

• B.E. in Electrical & Electronics Engineering / any Electrical or Electronics discipline

Postgraduate (PG) – Preferred (any one):

• M.E./M.Tech in Electrical / Solar / Renewable Energy

• or

• MBA in Power / Energy Management / Project Management / Construction Management

Experience

• 5 – 10 years

  of relevant experience in renewable energy/power projects

Job Summary

The Project Manager will be responsible for the planning, engineering, procurement, execution, and handover of renewable energy projects, including Solar, Wind, Hybrid, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). The role will ensure adherence to quality standards, schedule, budget, and client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrate strong technical knowledge in Solar, Wind, and Battery Energy Storage (BESS) projects.
• Conduct site surveys and review Feasibility Studies and Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for Solar / Wind / BESS / Hybrid projects.
• Contribute to basic and detailed engineering of renewable energy systems.
• Understand customer requirements, define project scope, and develop comprehensive work plans with clearly defined activity sequences.
• Identify required resources, timelines, costs, and tools for successful project completion.
• Prepare detailed project schedules with appropriate resource allocation.
• Identify and manage regulatory approvals; ensure timely obtaining of statutory clearances.
• Manage contractor and sub-consultant selection, ensuring alignment with design requirements, lead times, quality standards, and budget.
• Initiate and oversee the procurement process, coordinating with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure quality and performance.
• Track and monitor contractor and sub-consultant performance to ensure adherence to quality, schedule, and budget.
• Review and validate procurement, inspection, and testing plans, ensuring contractual and budgetary compliance.
• Motivate and monitor internal and external project teams to achieve defined milestones.
• Collaborate with Sales and Commercial teams to manage scope changes, time extensions, and cost variations with customers.
• Conduct regular project review meetings, monitor progress, and implement catch-up plans to address schedule delays.
• Prepare periodic progress reports, update clients, and review and certify contractor invoices/bills.
• Review contractual changes, tax/law updates, and evaluate claims from contractors/sub-consultants; recommend necessary modifications.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships, acting as the primary point of contact and escalation for project-related issues.
• Ensure compliance with warranty/guarantee obligations and manage successful project handover to the customer.
