Company Description

Mission Rabies India is a nonprofit organization aimed at eliminating rabies through a One Health approach, recognising the interconnectedness of human, animal, and environmental health. The organization operates in high-risk regions, collaborating with governments, veterinary experts, and local partners. Their programs include mass dog vaccination, community education, and disease surveillance.

• Strategic Planning + Leadership:

Develop and oversee activity plans for vaccination, education, and surveillance

Ensure alignment of everyday work with the overall project objectives

• Team + Resource Management:

Lead and supervise project staff across all 3 verticals

Support in training and performance monitoring

Oversee resource allocation and maintenance of resources

• Stakeholder Engagement:

Coordinate with the municipal and other partners for everyday work

Support in planning and hosting ‘taskforce’ meetings with external stakeholders

Maintain partnerships with other stakeholders

• Operations Management:

Monitoring day-to-day activities of vaccination drives, education sessions, and surveillance response

Ensure apt data collection on our WVS app

Supervise and support hotline operations + suspected rabies case handling

• Monitoring & Reporting:

Track general progress of project

Conduct + subsequently collate monthly reviews from project employees

Follow monitoring protocol for different aspects of the 3 verticals

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in management, public health, social work, or related fields (master’s degree preferred)
• Minimum 5+ years of work experience (preferably working in the animal welfare sector or other NGO field programs)
• Past experience in stakeholder management and working with multiple verticals
• Proficiency in basic Microsoft/Google tools + any design software for report-making (Canva, Adobe InDesign, etc.)
• Fluent in Marathi, English, and Hindi
• Preferably based in Pune / Pimpri Chinchwad
