Job Description

Role & responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Execution

  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and timelines for solar structural fabrication and installation.
  • Coordinate with design, production, procurement, and logistics teams to plan end-to-end project activities.
  • Ensure project milestones are met within the specified time, cost, and quality standards.

2. Production & Manufacturing Coordination

  • Work closely with the manufacturing unit to monitor fabrication status of solar mounting structures, modules, and components.
  • Ensure material specifications, welding standards, coating processes (galvanizing/powder coating), and structural quality meet engineering requirements.
  • Resolve production delays, quality issues, and resource constraints quickly.

3. Client Coordination & Communication

  • Act as the single point of contact between clients, consultants, and internal teams.
  • Conduct client meetings, progress reviews, and site visits.
  • Provide timely updates, reports, and documentation regarding project status.

4. Procurement & Vendor Management

  • Coordinate procurement of raw materials like steel sections, fasteners, and solar structure components.
  • Evaluate and onboard vendors for fabrication, machining, galvanizing, and installation.
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials while maintaining cost efficiency.

5. Engineering & Technical Oversight

  • Collaborate with design engineers to ensure manufacturability and compliance with industry standards.
  • Identify design risks and suggest improvements.

6. Site Coordination & Installation Support

  • Monitor dispatch schedules and ensure timely delivery of finished structures to project sites.
  • Coordinate with installation teams for site readiness, erection, and commissioning activities.
  • Address site-related issues such as alignment, foundation, and structural corrections.

7. Quality & Safety Management

  • Conduct inspections at factory and site to maintain quality consistency.
  • Enforce safety protocols for production and site teams.

8. Budgeting & Cost Control

  • Prepare project budgets and track expenditures.
  • Reduce operational costs through better planning, vendor negotiation, and resource allocation.
  • Prevent cost overruns by monitoring consumption and wastage.

9. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain project documentation including drawings, work orders, inspection reports, BOQ revisions, and client approvals.
  • Generate weekly and monthly project progress reports.
  • Support in preparing invoices, RA bills, and final handover documents.

10. Team Leadership

  • Lead project engineers, supervisors, and contractors.
  • Resolve inter-department conflicts and maintain smooth workflow.
