Job Description – Project Manager (Façade)

Location: Chandigarh, India
Department: Façade & Windows Projects
Reports To: Operations Head / Director

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager specializing in façade works to lead and manage the execution of medium to large-scale façade projects. The role requires strong technical expertise in aluminium and glass systems, excellent site coordination skills, and the ability to deliver projects within defined timelines, cost, and quality parameters.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Execution

• Prepare detailed project schedules (MS Project / Primavera).
• Review and interpret architectural & shop drawings for façade systems.
• Plan manpower, materials, and machinery requirements.
• Ensure timely project execution as per approved work programs.

2. Site & Team Management

• Lead site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors.
• Monitor façade fabrication, assembly, and installation activities.
• Conduct daily/weekly site coordination meetings.
• Ensure smooth communication between design, production, and site teams.

3. Quality & Safety Assurance

• Implement and monitor QA/QC procedures for façade installation.
• Carry out inspections of aluminium, glass, and ACP materials.
• Ensure compliance with ISO / ASTM / EN façade standards.
• Enforce strict safety protocols at all sites.

4. Client & Stakeholder Coordination

• Act as the single point of contact for clients, architects, and consultants.
• Manage design clarifications, RFIs, and variation orders.
• Prepare and present regular progress reports to management and clients.

5. Budget & Commercial Control

• Track project costs against approved budgets.
• Approve subcontractor bills and site expenses.
• Identify value-engineering opportunities for cost optimization.

Technical Requirements

• Proven expertise in façade systems including:
• Curtain walls (unitized & semi-unitized)
• Aluminium doors & windows
• Structural glazing systems
• ACP & cladding works
• Skylights, spider glazing, louvers, sunshades
• Strong knowledge of façade material properties (aluminium, glass, ACP, sealants, gaskets).
• Ability to read technical drawings (AutoCAD).
• Familiarity with façade testing standards (water tightness, air permeability, structural strength).
• Hands-on experience in site troubleshooting (alignment, tolerances, anchorage systems).

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Civil, Mechanical, or Architectural Engineering.
• Minimum 4–10 years of façade project execution experience (at least 3 years in a Project Manager role).
• Good command of English (Hindi is an advantage).
• Skilled in MS Project / Primavera, AutoCAD, and MS Office.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
