The Role

We are looking for an exceptional Project Manager to take ownership of the Calaxis product roadmap and drive its execution from vision to deployment. This is a pivotal role at the intersection of cutting-edge AI research and scalable platform engineering. You will be the central hub for our R&D organization, ensuring that our ambitious technical goals translate into a world-class product that delights our users.

This is a hands-on role for a leader who is passionate about building complex, technical products and thrives in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

What You Will Do:

• Own the Product Roadmap:

  You will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and communicating the product roadmap for our seven-module AI development platform. 

• Bridge Research and Engineering:

  Act as the critical link between our Core AI Research team and our Platform & MLOps Engineering team. You will translate research breakthroughs and architectural concepts into a clear, actionable product backlog.

• Drive Execution:

  Manage sprints, define timelines, and orchestrate resource allocation across the R&D organization to ensure we meet our ambitious product milestones on schedule.

• Define Technical Specifications:

  Work closely with senior engineers and AI scientists to define detailed technical requirements and specifications for new features and platform enhancements.

• Lead Agile Processes:

  Implement and lead our agile development process, facilitating sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives to foster a culture of high-velocity execution and continuous improvement.

• Communicate and Align:

  Ensure that all stakeholders, from the Co-CEOs to individual engineers, are aligned on the product vision, strategy, and short-term priorities.

Who You Are:

• A Technical Leader:

  You have a strong background in software engineering, technical product management, or a similar field. You are comfortable diving deep into technical discussions and making architectural trade-off decisions with the engineering team.

• Experienced in AI/ML:

  You have demonstrable experience managing complex AI or Machine Learning projects. You understand the nuances of the ML lifecycle, from data ingestion and processing to model training and deployment.

• A Superb Project Manager:

  You are an expert in agile and scrum methodologies and are proficient with project management tools like Jira. You have a proven track record of delivering complex software projects on time. 

• An Excellent Communicator:

  You can articulate a complex technical vision to different audiences and are skilled at fostering collaboration between highly specialized teams.

• Pragmatic and Driven:

  You are biased toward action and are adept at navigating the ambiguity and rapid pace of an early-stage, deep-tech startup.

Nice-to-Haves:

• Hands-on experience with MLOps infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines for machine learning.
• Familiarity with the modern AI stack, including LLMs, fine-tuning techniques (SFT, RLAIF, DPO), and data pipelines.
• Experience working in a company that has built and scaled a developer-focused PaaS product.
