Job Description

Objective
The Project Manager is responsible for providing technical oversight to the Product Management group, effectively managing vendors/partners and facilitating conversations and expediting resolution of dependencies with third parties and MSIL support functions, including conversations around integration with MSIL applications. He/she should have a strong background in IT with a good understanding of the Project Management landscape with a focus on scope, cost, quality, risk and vendor/partner management. He/she should be able to sense problems proactively, on the delivery side and enable their quick resolution. A strong background in the agile ways of working is preferred.   • Work closely with Product Management to provide technical oversight and high-level guidance on conversations with vendors/partners, third parties and MSIL support functions
  • Help remove impediments that vendors/partners cannot address by themselves
  • Ability to validate work estimates provided by vendors/partners, at a high level
  • Take ownership of successful delivery of the project
  • Proactively sense risks to the project schedule, help mitigate them and escalate, if needed
  • Work collaboratively with vendors/partners towards successful project delivery
  • Be on top of all technical aspects on the product, at a high level
  • Lead all conversations that involve interfacing with MSIL applications
  • Provide reports for the project, to leadership at a regular cadence
  • Work closely with scrum master(s) to ensure project success
  • Stay connected to the ground situation by holding regular and frequent conversations with Product Owners and Architects
  • Add to the Project Management body of knowledge of the CoE
  • Track project progress and performance with the help of carefully selected metrics and be able to communicate the same to leadership
  • Constantly track product quality and support proactive and reactive initiatives
  • Attend key project events such as Planning, Demo/Review and Retrospective meetings
  • Ensure deviation in vendor/partner performance is highlighted to relevant MSIL stakeholders and support corrective action
  • Own the project governance model and ensure it is followed and adapted to specific needs
  • Constantly evolving the ways of working to ensure continuous improvement
  • Work closely with MSIL Vendor Management and Program Management team(s)
  • Have regular contacts with the Department Head to brief him/her about status, risks and learnings
  • Ability to effectively manage and co-ordinate multi team (5+) environments
Skills
  • Project management skills: Scope, Cost, Schedule, Risk, Quality and Vendor management
  • Proficient in the agile ways of working with a working knowledge of Scrum and Kanban
  • Ability to ‘get the job done’
  • High level understanding of technology stacks (front-end: e.g. React, Angular, back-end: e.g. .NET, Java, databases, cloud etc.) and their applicability in different business scenarios
  • Well versed with the usage of Jira and Confluence, as a user (and not necessarily as an administrator)
  • Understand the MSIL application landscape and their interfaces.
  • Have a good understanding of agile philosophy and the mindset and be able to user the same in his/her day-to-day workings

  • Proven expertise in dealer management systems or similar ERP solutions.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of automotive dealership operations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
  • Experience in managing budgets, resources, and timelines.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
