Project Management Engineering- (Lead Engineer)

Main Accountabilities

Lead Engineering authority for projects/tenders with low to high complexity for Flexible A.C. Transmission Systems (FACTS) Technology aligned with Power Quality Solutions (PQS) Business. Drive the technical solution of small, medium, or large projects/tender with cost effectively and in accordance with contract specifications and quality standards.Coordinate with Project/Tendering team (i.e., System Engineering, Primary/Mechanical Engineering, Secondary/Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering), Commissioning, Project managers, SCM, Civil / steel design functions, consultants, end customers etc.

Activities Involved

• Driving the technical solution in coordination with other departments (i.e. System Engineering, Primary/Mechanical Engineering, Secondary/Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering) and support Tender Manager/ Project Manager for assigned Project/Tender.
• Evaluating risks and opportunities, strategizes mitigation of engineering disciplines.
• Interacting with customers, contractors, suppliers. Attends project/Tender meetings and presents all technical aspects of project/Tender assignments
• Collaborating and networking with engineering colleagues within the organization. Shares best practice across different projects and disciplines
• Evaluating the overall cost of the engineering disciplines and getting approved from Business Unit Head
• Utilizing standard processes, tools, and techniques. Ensuring that engineering activities are complied with required safety regulations and contractual requirements
