Project Head

Role & responsibilities

• Lead complete lifecycle of oil & gas projects from feasibility, planning, detailed engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning to handover.
  
• Define project scope, goals, timelines, and deliverables aligned with business objectives.
  
• Oversee EPC/EPCM contractors, consultants, and vendors ensuring quality, safety, schedule, and cost compliance.
  
• Ensure strict adherence to HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standards at all project sites.
  
• Monitor project budget and cash flow; identify and mitigate cost overruns and risks.
  
• Liaise with clients, statutory bodies, and internal stakeholders for necessary approvals and coordination.
  
• Implement robust project controls, reporting systems, and dashboards for management updates.
  
• Provide leadership to multi-disciplinary project teams; mentor and develop project managers, engineers, and site leads.
  
• Handle techno-commercial negotiations and contract finalizations.
  
• Ensure timely project delivery within agreed parameters and ensure a smooth handover to operations.
  

Qualifications & Experience:

• B.E./B.Tech

  in Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, or related engineering field. Master's degree (MBA/Project Management) is a plus.
• Minimum

  18–25 years

  of experience in oil & gas projects, including at least 5 years in a leadership or project head capacity.
• Strong exposure to

  EPC/EPCM project delivery

  , with experience in both upstream and downstream projects preferred.
• Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements (OISD, PNGRB, MoEF, etc.)
  
• Proven expertise in project planning tools (Primavera/MS Project), budgeting, and stakeholder management.
  
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
