Position: Head -Project & Design (Boiler Division)

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a project management framework to ensure standardized and efficient project execution.
• Define project objectives, scope, deliverables, budgets, and timelines in coordination with senior management and stakeholders.
• Create, monitor, and maintain project plans, including scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
• Supervise and review thermal and mechanical design of boilers, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, and equipment such as pumps, compressors, turbines, and blowers.
• Prepare and review technical specifications for insulation, painting, and coating.
• Review pipeline flexibility analysis, civil foundations, and structural designs as per relevant standards.
• Lead innovation and patent design initiatives within the organization.
• Track and analyze project progress, timelines, and cost-effectiveness to ensure successful and timely completion.
• Prepare and review bar charts, PERT, and CPM schedules, and monitor project performance.
• Identify potential risks, define contingencies, and recommend suitable corrective actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and smooth project execution.
• Support recruitment, training, and development of design and project teams.
• Develop and manage a workshop and manufacturing team for boilers and related components.
• Assist the COO in improving plant maintenance, operational efficiency, and troubleshooting of equipment.
• Contribute to SAP system implementation for store and purchase departments.
• Stay updated with industry trends, standards, and emerging technologies in project management and boiler design.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's / Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 12+ years of experience in boiler and power plant projects (boiler industry experience mandatory).
• BOE certification preferred.
• Proven experience in project management, design, and execution of industrial boiler systems.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in project planning tools (PERT, CPM, MS Project, etc.) and ERP/SAP systems.
